Drenched

Enormous beast-cat, skeptical of rain.

Once again it started to rain while the kids were outside playing last night after dinner, and they just stayed out there.  After a little while, Todd and I looked out and saw they had the hose set up like a sprinkler and were running through it as if it were the hottest of sunny afternoons instead of what it actually was, a downpour!

We called them in just before 8pm, which in our house is pretty late!  They were drenched to the skin with quivering chins and grass-covered feet, but soon after we had them drinking warm vanilla milk and cuddled up in blankets on the couch.  (Meanwhile Todd and I are sticky and sweaty and debating turning on the AC overnight.)  These kids sure know how to have a good time :-)
