Sidewalk Work

This was the scene over the weekend when Todd's good (and very skilled) friend, Paul, came to help pour the sidewalk.

He brought his son Tommy who is one of Evan's favorite friends.

The kids played together all afternoon -- swinging out back, chasing each other and building car ramps inside, and, of course, swamping around in the front yard for the last time.

Tommy loves mud as much as Evan does.  This is all they do at his house too.  Of course, now we'll have to set up camp in the backyard for mud play since our landscapers came this week to till and smooth and remove dirt.

Todd helped the kids each make a handprint on the sidewalk.

As of today it's all dried and white and lovely, and the little handprint corner makes me smile.  More photos to come.  I'm not going out to take pictures because it is 90 and HOT out there.  Maybe tomorrow.

Today the AC guy came to hook up our central air.  Good timing, right?  I think we will sleep well tonight!

So happy for you getting to be cool tonight. You couldn't pick a better day. Those handprints are so sweet to look back on years from now. ;o)
