Kitten Love

My dad has a new kitten.  Her name is Tizzy, but they also call her Fizzy and Lizzy.  The kids call her Fuzzy Fizzy.  She's super wild and feisty and has as much energy as Evan and Chloe do.  They run her around the house for hours until they're all exhausted but no one wants to stop playing.  Memories of my own childhood come flooding back as I watch them run and shriek and laugh till they cry.

Evan is in kitten heaven.

She may not be ours but visiting her frequently is the next best thing.

Thanks Gramma!!

Evan has played with his new RC helicopter since it arrived on Tuesday.  As he opened it he said, "This is my dream!!!"

Our friend Jeff, who has experience with these things, taught Evan how to control it really well.  As soon as it loses it's charge (about 20 minutes) it's back on the charger (for 30 minutes) and then back in the air.  Unless he is outside, he's playing with it.

Birthday treat:: Chocolate Pudding (homemade)

Vital stats:: 46 pounds, 49 inches tall.  (He's comparatively quite small for his age). Still in size 7 clothes.  Shoe size is 13.

 Nine things about Evan::

He is constantly climbing trees and doorways.
He has four permanent teeth in his mouth and no loose ones right now.
He snuggles and hugs and kisses and climbs on me daily.
He is really into off-roading video games and RC toys of any kind.
He laughs and tries to escape when Chloe pins him down to kiss him.
He still loves the color green.
He wants to go to the beach or the creek every single day.
He loves kittens more than any other creature on earth.
He is hungry from sun-up to sun-down.

A Perfect Spot

Every Saturday we drive to Edinboro to get our milk.  It's a long trip, and this past weekend it was also really hot out.  By the time we were on our way back, we were overheated and grumpy.  Stopping by Bryce's house to deliver their milk, we all poured out of the car in a sweaty mass to the cool shade of their front yard tree.  What a lovely place to cool off and stretch out.....

Favorites

Favorite friends came to visit last week.  We all had such a nice time together; it's too bad that the only picture I took was this one at lunch.  Grace and Evan played in the backyard for hours.  Chloe started out with Lilah but ended up with Evan.  And me?  I played with Eva and Lilah inside and outside and all over the neighborhood.  At the end of it all, we didn't want to say bye to our friends.  Grace said she never had so much fun in her whole life, Lilah wanted to keep collecting acorns till the sun went down, Eva wanted to keep walking to the end of the earth and I just couldn't stop smiling as I thought about it all.  I was so glad to be entrusted with such treasures.  And knowing that my kids are blessed to be around such amazing kids brings me such peace.
